Clarice was very supportive to my family during our move from Indiana to Maryland last year in 2023. This was a major transition for us because my son, 22 years old, is severely autistic and non-verbal and has never lived anywhere else before.  During this transition, I didn’t know much about DDA services and processes, but Clarice was there for us guiding us step by step even while still in Indiana, before we moved. After moving here, my son went into a major behavioral and mental crisis possibly due to the change.  He was hospitalized for 30 days.  During this time Clarice remained my rock and always picked up the phone when I called her.  She even attended several meetings I had with the hospital officials, and she backed me up in advocating for my son in the hospital system. She called me often to check on me.  She played a very pivotal role in helping my family adjust to life here.  She has vast knowledge of the DDA services and has built good positive relationships with key people in the disability administration. I am always so amazed by her ability to work well with people in all areas. This gives her the edge and enables her to better help families to navigate through the system.  She is able to direct families to the right people who can address their needs, and she always stands by the families and helping them through the challenges that come with special needs. She is truly a remarkable person, very approachable, personable, caring, dedicated and puts her heart and soul into helping families dealing with special needs and I feel very honored that she is now my good friend.
